ATHIR Chemical Industries is a United Arab Emirates supplier of high-purity ethanol to pharmaceutical, fragrance and industrial manufacturers. We work to the standard the customer has to meet, and we document what we supply well enough that their own auditors are satisfied.

The name

Athir — أثير

Athir is the Arabic word for ether: the refined medium, the thing that carries something else without adding anything of its own.

That is exactly what a perfumer wants from an alcohol and what a formulator wants from a solvent — a carrier that does its work and then disappears. The name is the commitment, and the rest of this site is the evidence for it.

What we do

Built around the certificate, not the tank

Ethanol is a commodity molecule. What is not commoditised is the evidence that a particular drum of it meets a particular requirement — and that evidence is what a pharmaceutical or fragrance buyer is actually shopping for.

So the laboratory, the quality system and the change control are not overheads bolted onto a trading operation. They are the product. The ethanol is what carries them.
